Temperatures were well down on recent days, but at about 24° it felt really warm even though there was a strong breeze.
Ifield Mill Pond was looking fantastic today.
The swans were looking for food handouts again! 😆. We didn't have anything but I did spot someone throwing bread which is definitely not a good idea! That's very bad for them.
These three adult birds have recently arrived here and look like they will be staying for the winter. We will be watching them with interest as the months go by, when we visit.
There is still a large group of canada geese here. They will all fly off well before the winter sets in leaving just ducks and swans mainly, apart from a few other wild fowl. I'm not sure about the seagulls which have stayed here longer than usual this summer.
