Just look at the cricket field! So brown and no prospect of rain for a while yet! In fact this week we are in the throws of another heatwave. Tomorrow's temperatures are to hit mid thirties again.
I just heard on the news buletin that this year could be the hottest on record.
Today, it was nice under the trees in the shade while walking in the small park near one of our large supermarkets. The ground was hard and cracked underfoot. Although grass always recovers well, many small shrubs and hedgerows are wilting under this drought. An unfamiliar sight here in southern England. Looks like we will need to get used to it! 馃サ馃槴馃槻.
