We enjoyed another visit to our marvellous town park called Tilgate Park today. Being the school holidays, it was very busy, which is good to see.

There is a plaque close to the main car park which displays an account of the history of the park going all the way back to the Norman conquest.

While there we took our grandson to the nature centre again. A fascinating place, especially for children. The armadillo was amusing rolling around in the coolest sand it could find in the shade of a fence. 馃槀

The gardens are also impressive. There are many different colours of roses here but one particular colour took my eye today. I remember iamraincrystal@iamraincrystal saying her favourite colour roses are yellow ones. Yellow seems to be a relatively rare colour for roses, at least in my experience anyway. Here is a nice example of a yellow rose.

The shade of yellow varies across the plant too which is interesting.
