My goodness! I couldn't believe the numbers of canada geese on the lake at Ifield Mill Pond. There were more on the other side of the boardwalk where we walked. A lot of them are this years goslings now almost fully grown with their adult plumage.
Another good image was the swan family have a siesta on the bank.
There are many species of wild birds and fowl on our lakes. Another one worth a mention is the crested grebe. They are not as easy to photograph as they are much more timid, staying far away from humans. However, I managed a picture at high magnification of a parent bird carrying one of its young on its back. 馃榾.
This picture was taken with my mobile phone so it is not great but does clearly show the young bird on it's back. This is apparently something they do a lot.
