Ifield Mill Pond boardwalk : Actifit Report Card: May 24 2026
Temperatures were around 30掳C today and so we set out during the cooler morning air, although it still felt too hot! 馃ぃ
The boardwalk at Ifield Mill Pond was our destination for a walk. We walked along the whole length of the platform for superb views of the wildlife.
You can see some bird nests from here, in fact some are so close you can almost touch them.
The willows are shedding their seeds right now and covering the ground with a fluffy carpet. The air was full of it.
Can you spot the fox in the next photo, watching us pass along the path. I think it was waiting for a chance to grab a young bird for a meal. We often see them lurking in the bushes here.
