One of our many public parks is called Worth Park. An important fact is that it is part of the grounds of an old manor house, long since demolished to make way for housing. The grounds remain, however, as a lovely park with a lake. But it is surrounded by housing estates now, which kind of spoils the original idea. That's progress, I suppose, but we are lucky to still have this park and many others to enjoy. 馃榿
