Time for some more of my girlfriend's decoupage.
My camerawork's a bit dodgy, and, whilst the pictures look quite good, they don't show the true beauty of the chest. The imperfections you see in them just don't show up when you are actually looking at it in real life. It didn't help that I don't have a small tripod for my camera, yet - I had to use a relatively tall one. So to keep the image in perspective, I had to place the camera a couple of meters away and zoomed in from there.

The chest was left in the garage when we bought the house. It was just thin rusty metal plate with broken wooden panels and an inner wooden frame. It looked horrible. My girlfriend cleaned it up a litte, painted it with all-purpose metal paint (and maybe some other stuff), and then she got to work with some glue and some paper napkins that she had bought. I think that she then varnished over it.
The result is unbelievable!
