Australian television has interviewed Amrozi and several terrorist Bali bombers and they were very satisfied with the results achieved. They do not feel sorry even though hundreds of lives have been lost, including fellow Muslims.

Most of the findings of religious radicalization are based on the psychology of the victim who places it as if religion is being persecuted and committing suicide bombings is a holy struggle for the glory of religion. Of course, the reward after death is an extraordinary lure so that even if they are arrested or die, they are not afraid.

According to Charles Kimball in his book "When Religion Becomes Evil", there are 3 pillars of religion that make the doctrine of death easy to do, namely

  1. Absolutism
  2. Irrationalism
  3. Separation of people

Absolutism instills the doctrine that religious teachings themselves have Absolute truth and are the only truest. Irrationalism invalidates and even prohibits logical thinking and accepts without questioning the implied propositions. And human segregation instills the belief that people outside their group are evil or less.

These three things make it easy for people to be moved by provocation when they are waging a holy war for the glory of their religion.
