Photo taken by me with a Redmi Note 14c 5G, scale 4:3 fully automatic exposure, point to shoot mode.
Story behind the photo: I had a medical episode a couple of months ago, that rendered me depending on a walking stick. It's very inconvenient for me and at times I causes delay of other people especially my love ones. So happened I saw my shadow somehow looks like wearing a cape, and the big shadow beside mine lookslike a monster, which was about to get into a fight of the century. I urge everyone who are facing life changing event, don't you ever give up. I know I will cause delay, so I get my ass off early, so I don't be late. I know I'm walking slow, ask the family to walk first, lemme know the destination, I will get there slowly but surely. My shadow haven't give up on me, I have no rights to give up on my shadow. Imagine if I'm still lying on my bed that day, I don't even give a chance of my shadow to fight the monster.
We go to St.Anne pilgrimage every July of the year. Our family usually spend sometime in the island as a tourist and visit some friends.
It is so sad that, a week later (after I've taken this picture) a young boy jumping off the roof from the tallest building in the island. That got me remember to write this down.
Everyone of us have our personal battle. We think we have full control of our life, but we don't. Jumping off the building is NOT a battle, it's a give up a fight. You think you can just end all this? It does not end here, despite you said "no need to feel sad", but yet you're burdening your love ones, despite they're sad, yours not giving them chance to love you anymore.
I'm not a counsellor, I know jack about how to calm someone down. I can only feel sad and I can't forget what the boy did to his family and to me. It feels weird, despite I don't know him nor their family, but I felt somehow I owe the deceased and their family, to at least share my experience with them so to avoid such incident.
Til this day, my heart is still wrenching thinking of how the family miss their son. The YouTube video the boy left for the family, it will continue to haunt them, to make the family think "what if I did this or that", only to find out they didn't do enough to keep the boy.
