Unfortunately, cloudflare is down, and rendered in majority of the hosting services down. So, I guess I'm just gonna snatch a random photo and call it a day. Trust me, I tried to upload but apparently nothing's work.
Any of you remember this? Ok perhaps the ASEAN Hive community is too new to understand this. Back in the old days, there's many community supporting bots that will help to encourage users to cross curation. By calling @originalworks, the bot will come to the post, verify it's genuinity before it put down an upvote. Other users seeing this, they will also feel comfortable to vote as the post has been verified once. That ofcourse, it can't totally stop the user from plagiarism. People are creative to change sentences and paragraph structures, and now with AI, it's even harder to catch.
Anyway, we are already talking about 8 years ago, when there's still so many miracles happening. Crypto journey is hard enough, running curation job is even harder, supporting community is even a bigger chore. Never would I imagine one day I'm busy delegating HP in ASEAN Hive community, at the same time managing a gaming account back in #steem, at the same time running a curation job for the Chinese community. I know my vote wasn't worth much, but distributing vote is a form of support, correct?
Other than web3 difficulties, my real life is also surrounding by troubles. Not long ago I lost my neighbor and he's around my age. We're both car guys and last year he even helped me to sold my car without commission. I haven't even got a chance to buy uphim a proper meal to thank him and now he's gone. So many people left us in this year. Two weeks ago, my colleague that use to do lunch with me, he's even 2 years younger than me. One faithful Sunday he went to the mall to purchase his favorite Gundam figurin, collapsed and we never see him again. The last thing we got from his family was, asking us to help to find his car.
At this point of time, I am attending at least 2 funeral every month, and all of these funerals are my close contact, people whom I often talked to, connect, meet, it's really hard for me to digest how life changed in one year. Sometimes, when I picked up the phone trying to call for a lunch buddy, and realized there's not many of them left. My ex-colleague Samuel, we attend Roastmasters (toastmasters) meeting and we liked to roast each others as a friendly banters, left me just like that. He didn't even told me he was sick, until I don't see him at the toastmasters meeting, only I got to know he's already terminally ill at his hometown. He choose to quietly leave us instead.
I know. I looked like a happy go lucky guy. I usually write light hearted stuff and I am showing my double V peace sign all the time. Sometimes I pretend to be tough, like I can tear up a tiger with my bear hands, but deep down in my heart, I'm just another older boy who is trying to look for friends to go and hangout at the arcade. In my mind, I'm still that young Edward Furlong and thought to myself "I still got it".
