So guys, we were asked to talk about our worst habit in Hive Ghana weekly Prompt. Habits are things we picked up while growing up at various stages of our life. Apparently, while growing up, life throws all sorts of things our way. Some of these things are good, while some are not so great.

One thing I ended up with is this not-so-great habit of biting my nails. It's like this thing that tagged along without me really noticing. Trust me, it's not nice at all, it's just that it has been hanging around since I was a kid, and it has been shaping my moments of stress, boredom, and self-reflection.

So as a kid, I was doing kid things, and somehow, biting my nails became one of those things. Maybe I saw others doing it, or maybe it just happened, I really don't know or should I say I can't remember? I just know that whenever things get so stressful or boring for me, my fingers keeps finding their way to my mouth and before I knew it, it became a thing I did without really thinking.

At first, it didn't seem like a big deal. It was just a quick way to deal with stress, but as time went on, it turned into more than that. This innocent act became a regular part of my routine. It wasn't just about my nails looking a bit rough; it felt like they were telling a story of stress and anxiety.

As time passed, bitting my nails stuck around like that friend who won't leave. Honestly, looking back at everything now, I would definitely want to change this habit if I could because even though it might have seemed okay at that time, it is now affecting the way I see myself.

The impact of my bitten nails isn't just about the appearance of my nails. It has gone deeper to affect how I see myself. It is messing up with my confidence and self image. I tend to always try to hide my nails which feels a bit awkward and it has became like a little shadow following me around.

So guys, I'm on this mission to break free from this nail-biting thing but it's looking so difficult. I have tried all the tricks I know and I actually think it's working but I think it's taking a whole lot of time. Isn't there anything I can just do and immediately get it over with? Please if you know a way out, kindly let me know in the comment section.

Despite not liking this ordeal at all, dealing with this nail-biting habit has actually taught me something. It's like a reminder that even small habits can change how we feel about ourselves so breaking free from this means that I am being aware and I am making little changes for the better.

So, as I move forward, the lesson is clear. Even though habits might stick around, I have the power to tell a different story and live in a healthier way.

Thanks for visiting my blog.
