Just last week I went to my home with the intention of paying Grandma a visit I was given a nice welcome by grandma. I love spending time with her because I see that as an opportunity to get wisdom from the old. So every summer, i would eagerly anticipate my visit to Grandma's house, where I would always get my delicious roasted plantains. Grandma is always happy to welcome me into her aboard so any time I called her on phone to tell her that am coming she will always get get ready for me and will be willing to see me. She loves to pamper me like a child 馃槀馃槀 and won't allow me to do any house chores but i will still insist that I most help her when ever I am around.
So as I arrived at Grandma's house with euphoria and joy inside me. However, to my surprise, Grandma seemed too busy and far away thinking. Then I sense that something was not right, I gently asked her grandmother what is not right, with a sorrowful She replied, it already five years since you grandpa my husband left me alone in this wicked world 馃實, then I cheer her up and told her that all things happen for good and at Godswill, that she should just let go of such memories and keep focused of the feature.
She was overwhelmed by my words and bounced back to her happy mood where we all rejoiced and were happy together. After some time she decided to make me lunch which is toasted plantain. She has already cut the plantain from her farm so she went to the store and carried the plantain so we moved to the kitchen together.
Grandma's recipe on how to prepare roasted plantains is as follows :
get a ripe and strong plantains either from the market or farm your plantain should be a kind of yellow and a touch of black on it.
Peel the plantain with your knife by cutting the top and bottom of it, then remove carefully.
Rob a little of oil salt and pepper on the plantain to enable it to roast properly. Or you can use any ingredients of your choice.
Gather all the plantain you want to roast on the liner iron and arrange properly.
Set a fire and allow the smoke to go away, then put your liner iron on the fire where the plantains are well arranged.
Allow it for a minute and check the other side of it if it have roast well then turn the other side to roast well.
Then remove from the fire and enjoy while hot 馃サ馃サ
