There comes a point in life where every growing and responsible human needs to make some choices and consider a transition. It's funny how we grew up thinking life works like a straight line graph, in a linear motion, where directions don't change and things go straight as planned, hoped, aspired, and desired. But spending a considerable time in life has proven and shown a different perspective to this perception about how things work in life or should be.
Going through many routines and taking on multiple roles or duties at the same time can be overwhelming which is the case for many people today. You have a thing you're doing and also trying to branch out but it feels too much and draining. Sometimes, the distractions we experience could be the things we need apart from what we're doing. This means that, trying to take on more opportunities, which we have can be a limitation.
Distraction or boundary violation, it can just be that same thing as described above. For me, one of the next steps is working on my digital skills, gaining more knowledge, insight and experience in it. It's about learning new things and systems available and gaining more opportunities. There are also other digital skills I need to learn in this regards so, the need to take courses and all that to gain that growth and knowledge. But with the current demands of the things I do, it makes it hard.
As if that's not enough, I lose even time for other considerable things. Spending time online and getting tasks and work done leaves a big distraction window always, one which I manage to try and shut which is never easy as could be said. Sometimes, there's an overdemand and overconsumption of time from some tasks that tends to extend into that meant for other endeavours, and it just goes beyond the boundary set, affecting then the plans towards the next steps.
While there can be plans and efforts towards the next steps in life, distractions and boundary violations loom around, sometimes by the very things we do that are important, or not in some situations. That's the case for me, but I know that perhaps, more and better planning and strategy could help as I can't just abandon or leave what I currently have and do for the next steps. Distractions and boundary violations then have to be carefully addressed.
