One thing I love about these mountain lakes, are the incredible mountain reflections we get! For that reason alone, the hike was well worth it. A photographers dream location you might say. The frosting of snow up here, added that extra flare of beauty to the lake. I was somewhat surprised to see snow up here to be honest. In some higher elevation mountain areas, you do tend to encounter snow, even in mid Summer. It is such a neat thing to throw snowballs around, even when the local temperature is 20°C or above!
