Merry Yellow Christmas! Well first thing that came to mind when looking at this photo, was that it looks like a yellow Christmas tree lol. Don’t you think? Just imagine a star on top, a few ornaments here and there, a stocking or two, presents underneath, and a cat under the tree. But in reality, it is a spectacular looking Larch tree, found on the Ptarmigan Cirque hiking trail. Fall is the time of year when the needles turn this cool yellowish colour. I chose this hike specifically to soak in the wild fall colours out on full display. It was certainly worthwhile to take in this hike. Looking forward to a return someday to give it another go. One thing about hiking, is that you never tire of the joys of experiencing nature. This means one can even visit the same location multiple times. Happy thanksgiving to those down south!
