Joy, Adeola, Tobi, and osas were best of friends in secondary school. They were the tightest clique back then at Barachel Model college where they went through high school. Nothing or nobody could come in between them. They were also the envy of all cliques. Everyone wanted to be friends with them, seniors and juniors too. You can conveniently say they were the center of attraction. When anyone of them dared to talk, everyone listens. Without them, their class would be boring and unlively.
This continued this way until they all graduated and went to different universities. Adeola was the first to gain admission into a prestigious university followed by Osas and then Joy. Tobi never gained admission into any university. As time went by, the connection between them began to wear out as their communication with each other reduced. This relationship was strained as a result of the distance between all four though Tobi, Adeola and osas went to school in the same state. It was only Joy who had to move farther to another state to school miles away. So even though the relationship was strained, they all got along well with each other except for Joy who was far away.
On one summer holiday, Joy decided to come back home to her family and friends who she had missed through all the time she was away but guess what? Her friends didn't want to see or talk to her. She called them individually to ask if they could hangout but they all gave her cold shoulders. She tried all she could just to make sure they became friends with her again but all to avail.
So Joy decided to allow them be and make new friends. After all they weren't the only ones who could be her friends.
