We all have had dreams about who we want to become, where we want to be, how we want to go about being who we want to be. Most of us still nurture big dreams like that with big hopes too. We are hopeful that our dreams will surely come to pass one day and so we keep striving and working hard to make those dreams come true. But do those dreams really materialise and come to life? I think they do. I'll give an example
About 4 years ago, i had a dream of being the first university graduate from my immediate family. All my siblings are older than i am. The highest level of education they could get was secondary school education. I looked at them and made a vow to never stop at secondary school level. I knew it was going to be tough because we couldn't afford university fees but i didn't let that dream die.
After secondary school i wrote the necessary exam to get into the university, which is JAMB here in Nigeria, but i didn't pass. The exam is written once a year. So i waited until the next year to sit for another one. During the waiting period, i studied like crazy and prayed hard. I didn't give up on my dream even if i failed the first time. Failing even boosted me to do better.
Long story short, i passed the exam in the second sitting and i eventually gained admission into the University of Uyo. My joy knew no bounds. It was at that moment when i saw my admission letter i knew i could get everything i dreamt of getting as long as i don't give up on back down in the process of pursuing my dreams.
I went through the whole four years at the university studying Accounting and now I'm a graduate. Isn't that amazing?
That little story was written so you can know that dreams do come true if we put our minds to it.
Do not let your dreams die. They can still come to life.
