Doggo recently went to the Cayman Turtle Centre and had an amazing time! Really amazing place, doggo booked the night before to get in fast! Doggo had to go there early to witness the shark/barracuda/tarpon/turtle/crocodile/bird feedings! Was packed when doggo got there, but doggo booked the night before and skipped the line, cuz lines are for suckas. We first got our bearings, then went to the section where the predators (tarpon, sharks, barracuda) were being fed. It was VERY cool, seeing nurse sharks charging at pieces of mutilated fish... lol.
Then doggo just hung around for a bit and looked at turtles. Then doggo arrived at the turtle feeding! Staff were giving the turts fish pellets, and doggo decided to buy some turt feed. Doggo bought the turt feed, and went to the OTHER turtle enclosure that wasn't getting much attention and fed the turts there instead of the turts in the BIG enclosure. The turts seemed to enjoy it, and doggo dumped the remaining pellets in the bag out into the water. Doggo accidentally dropped the baggo that had the turt feed in it into the turt enclosure, and one curious turt ate it before doggo could pull the baggo out. Doggo got out of there fast before doggo was kicked out.
Doggo then went to the CROCCO feeding. The resident crocco was Smiley, who was a hybrid of a rich American crocodile, drunk in a casino, and a poor Cuban crocodile, down on her luck, trying to win money in the same casino. 3 months later (that's the gestation period of the eggs of most crocodiles)... Smiley is born. Abandoned by his parents at birth, he was an accident, to be shamed. Then he was trippin on some shrooms later in his life when he was captured by the staff, and given an enclosure. During the feeding, he was fed iguana meat, whilst the relative of said iguana meat watched sadly. It was a very fun feeding, and doggo had a great time.
Doggo then decided to go to a bar for a Pina Colada. Doggo drank it in around a minute lol. Then doggo went to the AVIARY. At the aviary, there were a LOT of birdos. Doggo wanted to feed said birdos. Doggo asked the staff managing the aviary, and for one Cayman Dollar doggo got fish pellets. Why fish pellets? Because doggo wanted to feed the ibises. Here's a quick pic of a scarlet ibis:
The aviary also had white ibises. The method was to put the feed in the palm of your hand, then wrap your hand into a fist, but leave a hole next to your thumb. The birds will stick their beaks into the hole and eat the feed, because ibises eat things that live in mud and holes, like snails, frogs, crustaceans... and on. Doggo fed the ibises, and even had one perch on doggo's arm! SOOOOO COOL. That was the end of doggo's stay there! Doggo had a great time! doggo reccomends you go there too.
