ADVENTURE 2: MIRI ROCKTOBER FEST ME GUSTA!! INVADE MIRI
I have to say that Miri is brilliantly awesome!! I never knew that we would have the chance to play outside out Kota Kinabalu. To be playing alongside with a huge band such as; HUJAN, OH! CHENTAKU, XPDC, SLAPSHOCK, BUNKFACE and plenty more is a dream comes true for us.

REPRESENTING KOTA KINABALU
There were 3 bands representing Kota Kinabalu at that time. First of all will be us, ME GUSTA!! , A MILLION EVIL FACES (AMEF) and BEYOND OUR IMAGINE LIVES (BOIL). Heck for sure we want to make Kota Kinabalu proud and to show the world that KK do have an amazing talent. I personally got a phone call or text message which I can’t recall from Nuk asking us for our Band Profile. He only said that it’s a 50/50 chances for us to be playing there, so don’t put your hopes too high. Few months later, the flyers were out, and boom!! Our names were souring up there. Indeed we were surprise, indeed we were speechless and indeed we were unprepared for it hahaha. Why we were unprepared? Because all of our merchandise was sold out in KK. But still, we manage to reproduce our EPs and also come up our merchandise (stickers and t-shirts).

TOUCHDOWN MIRI
4th of October is the date that we would never forget. It was the first time we travel outside of KK as a band. Bringing along Andy as our sound engineer and alongside him is Thomas, a friend of ours from Miri. We did have few problems at the airport like our 1st guitarist pedal effects cases were broken, but fortunately it’s still fixable. Most importantly, it never breaks our spirits to play in front of the Miri crowds. The organiser provided us with transportation and also accommodation. I couldn’t recall the name of the place that we were staying, I’ll let you guys know if the name come crosses in my mind. It was an amazing place where they have a balcony for you to hang around or drink coffee. It’s also a place where you can get to know other band members and also tourist. Food in Miri is very cheap, I go crazy for Sarawak kolok noodles. The taste still mingling in my mind. Mmmmmmm tasty. Hahahaha. Later that afternoon, we went to Everly Parkcity Hotel for soundchecks. It was the venue for Rocktoberfest.

AWESOME
One word to describe the crowd in Miri, AWESOME!! . They were really supporting and crazy. We did have a lot of fun while we were on the stage. The nervousness did hit me before we went up to the stage but it all settle down after the first song. All got heated up on the second song. The adrenaline rush was pumping hectically in my veins. The feeling is absolutely priceless at that time. I hope that we can meet up with Miri people again because you guys rock the hell out of me.
