Chatsworth House, Blenheim are all known around the world, however, the largest house in Europe has never been heard of.
This post is regarding that house, and the part not many have seen, which is the back gardens and the back of the house.
Wentworth House (aka Wentworth Woodhouse) is located on the outskirts of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. The house has 365 rooms, but this is debated as people state that they have found other rooms, so there maybe more, when I was growing up, my Nan used to say "it has a room for every day of the year".

I was lucky enough to grow up in the vicinity of the house, a half hour walk and I was there, through lovely countryside with 3 dams to walk around, until they banned people and just allow fishermen around the dams now days.
The pictures in this post however are not of the main facade around the front of the house, which is the largest in Europe, this is the back of the house, a part of the house that I had wanted to see for absolutely years, I'd been looking at google maps (aerial view), to see if there was any way in so I could have a look at this part of the house, I couldn't find any "safe" way in, as most of the ways I found, had cameras.
Now that Wentworth house is open to the public, you can actually go around the gardens. I was only planning on a walk today, then I saw that the gardens were open, and I thought "I'm in".
The weather was lovely today, and had some really good light for photography, but as normally happens, people tend to go out too, so it's hard to get a shot without folk in it, so in the end I just thought sod it, and just took the shots as I thought it would at least give a scale of the house while people are there.
The back part of the house (pictured) is where the owners actually lived, and the larger front part was used on special occasions, especially when royalty used to visit.

There's loads I could write about the house, from what I've been told and what I have read, but instead, I'll just get on with posting the pictures.

I hope you like my shots, please feel free to follow me on Instagram

The Ionic temple is another place that I wanted to get close up to, as it was always behind the massive wall, so it was great to go up to this.

The Orangery is another building I wanted to get close to, I love it how there are full sized trees inside, I did do a bit of photoshop work as there was a barrier in front of the building stopping you going in, so I photoshopped this out. What I love about this is the green door inside the building.
