As I was laid in bed this morning my girlfriend told me to look out of the window, yes it was another magnificent sunrise, the ones I like with frost, ice and fog, I said to her immediately "I'm going on the garden with the drone", due to it's weight (below 250g), I have less restrictions of where I can fly under UK laws, so I can get it up almost where I want (ooh err!) lol.
As I was setting everything up, I could see that the mist would soon be gone as the sun was really burning it off, I really do love mornings like this, a great start to the day, it was -1, so not too cold and with the sun it certainly didn't feel as cold as that.
Flying over the field at the bottom of the garden, it's amazing what wildlife we have seen over the past 12 months, hares, deer, kestrels, foxes, as well as the usual pigeons, gulls, magpies, bats, owls, and now there's a skylark around, it's not been seen but it has certainly been heard.
This is just a small selection of wildlife we have seen, as the farmer is no longer preparing it for crops, but the horrible housing estate has just about been given the green light, even though there has been opposition against this since day one.
They even say there's no bats there, but where are they from when we see them flying around at night, well in the warmer nights at least.
It will be a sad day when the bull dozers move in and the work starts, another part of the countryside will be gone, this was initially green belt land and nothing could be built on it, however, it got redesignated and now it will be gone in time forever.
This isn't the only massive building project that's on the cards around town, again on redesignated green belt land.
It's such a shame everything seems to get destroyed...
