With the changing of the Splinterlands Reward Process to reduce amounts earned for standard (ghost) cards, this has brought a whole new set of challenges to new and experienced players.
A challenge that most players have during the beginning of playing Splinterlands is building a strong deck that will maximize rewards and ranked wins. And understanding how the sales and rental market pricing works.
One way to cover the standard cards is to rent the cards until you have the funds to purchase. A few weeks ago, there were lots of Untamed cards that were on the rental market at low rental prices. So most copies of the standard cards were rented out.
Now the supply of cards to rent has tighten up and the players that are renting cards are having them pulled back so that the owner can put them back on the market at a higher price.
If I owner the cards, I would be doing the same thing. One of the reasons to invest in the game assets is to earn the highest amount of income possible from that investment.
PeakMonsters to the Rescue
I will not be focusing on the why, I just want to help everyone work through the cancelled rentals they are now experiencing and how best to manage.
New Filter
By using this filter, you will be able to find and address all of the cards you are renting that have been cancelled. Go to the "My Cards" menu in Peakmonsters.
The filter section is located on the righthand side of the Peakmonsters.
In the filter area, the "Cancelled" rentals can be found in the "Others" section. Scroll down and you can find it just below the "Rarity" and "Element" selection buttons.
Once selected, it will show you the time remaining on the cards that have been cancelled. As you can see I have a limited amount of time to either re-rent or buy seven cards.
This information is very important to know because now if you play with a standard (ghost) card, your rewards will be reduced. The rewards earned from covering your standard (ghost) cards should be enough to cover the cost over the long term of renting or buying.
