Progress Update - With US 2% GDP growth - Recession or Not?
Over the last year, most Economists and other in Finance were predicting a US recession. But I think the US Economy has something else in mind especially with another quarter of 2% GDP growth.
Now some are hailing the US Fed as the heroes while I have seen other stories on the news stating it was the Barbie Movie, Taylor Swift Concerts and Beyonce's Concerts that livened up the economy.
I think that we should take all these news stories and forecast with a grain of salt since there are both sides of the story being told or predicted at the same time so someone will have to be right and someone else will be wrong.

I for one, will continue to keep tabs on my spending, save for a rainy day and live life to the fullest in between.
Hive Target
One of the ways that I save and enjoy life is on the Hive Platform. I am working to get 5000 Hive Power and then the Dolphin Level.
My Hive Power balance is currently 2772 so I am a little over halfway to my target. I try to make sure it is growing on a weekly if not daily basis.
Hive Power Ranking
One thing that helps me stay on track is by pulling up my Hive Power Ranking on https://hivebuzz.me/ranking By putting in your user name or anyone else's, you can see where they rank. If you click on the title of any of the column's you can see your ranking for that specific stat. I am ranked 3425 in Hive Power ranking among all users on the Hive Platform.
HBD Savings Ranking
I also save HBD and earn 20% APR on my balance. You are able to claim your earnings on a monthly basis so it will compound monthly. I now have 55 HBD in savings earning the 20% APR. I am working to get my balance up to 60 HBD so that I will earn 1 additional HBD per month which will help my HBD balance grow even faster.
I look at my HBD ranking on the HiveBuzz site as well. This gives me a feeling as to how much others are saving HBD and taking advantage of the 20% APR. I find it interesting that I am ranking 2140 among all HBD savers since I only have 55 HBD in savings.
There are 100's of thousands of users on the Hive Platform and only 2100 have over 55 HBD in savings earnings 20% APR?
Hive Platform Value
The overall Hive Platform Value reminds me there are lots of people on the Hive Platform that do not power up their Hive nor put their HBD in savings but leave it liquid. This help me realize there are many ways to earning and saving and that my way is not the only way.
My overall Hive Platform value is 4747. I have a long way to go to progress in ranking so it helps me keep my eye on continuing to grow my account in both Hive and HBD.
Hive Received Rewards
One way on grow my account is by creating content on a "periodic" basis and also by curation of other peoples content.
I specifically used the work "periodic" instead of "daily" because there are days when I do not create a post. I try to create a post on a daily basis but sometimes the day just gets away from me so I try to do better next time.
As you can see in the middle of the 30 day chart, I participate in the monthly Hive Power Up Day and that this past month I was able to create content on a daily basis. I want to continue to grow my account.
Hive Engine Tokens
Hive is a lot more stable than the 2nd layer Hive Engine tokens but that is not going to stop me from accumulating them as well. The Communities that I participate in the most are ALIVE, CTP, LEO, POB and WAIV.
I am hoping to keep growing each of these tokens so that when the bull market starts back, I am in a very good position to take advantage of it.
Curation APR
I like reviewing my curation APR because I want it to stay in a range of 8% to 10%. Currently my curation APR is 7.00% which is 1 point lower than I like it to be. I will need to focus a little more in this area to increase my curation APR to my desired level.
