Three months ago, I wrote about benchmarking your daily earning on hive. A benchmark is nothing unless you compare back to it and see where you stand. I am very curious if I have made progress against my benchmark.

Benchmark Comparison
At https://hivestats.io/@darmst5339 (replace my username with yours) you can see a lot of information about your current and past earnings. Here are my 7 and 30 day received rewards.
On May 3rd, my author and curation rewards were:
7 Days
8.5 HP and 6.33 HBD equaling $13.10
or $1.87 per day
30 Days
20.96 HP and 14.13 HBD equaling $30.82
or $1.02 per day
Today (July 24th), my author and curation rewards are:
7 Days
15.72 HP and 6.33 HBD equaling $13.58
or $1.94 per day
30 Days
38.61 HP and 15.42 HBD equaling $33.23
or $1.10 per day
Based on this comparison, I have increased my 7 day daily rate, on average, by 7 cents per day from $1.87 to $1.94. This is great since it is moving in the right direction.
My 30 day daily rate, on average, increased by 8 cents per day. This is in line with the 7 day average so is very encouraging. However I am not pleased about the large difference between the 7 day average of $1.94 per day and the 30 day average of $1.10 per day. This implies that some of my weeks are much lower in earnings during the month than the current 7 day amounts reflect.
I noticed that the amount of HP earned is very different even though the USD equivalent is very similar. This indicates the lower value of Hive now compared to back in May. I am fine with this because I am accumulating more Hive and when it returns to the same price it was back at that point in time, it will be more than worth it.
Hive Target
I am targeting 2,500 Hive Power by the end of the year. I know it will be a stretch but I don't want to settle for a small achievable goal which would not push me thus I want a goal that makes me work for it.
I currently have 1412 HP, up 17 from last week. I did not power up any funds this week. I will need to do so to be able to reach 2,500 by year end.
I know it will be very difficult to get to my goal by end of year but I will stay active and not stop trying because I am not where I want to be just yet.
Author and Curation Rewards
This week, my 7 day Author rewards dropped back some to 27.4 from 36.95 last week. Not to bad of a drop but one that I would like to turn around in the coming weeks. Since I have no control over the value of the votes I receive, the value received from author rewards can fluctuate greatly.
The main thing is for me to consistently create content on a daily basis. My 30 day Author rewards took a slight hit dropping to 114.23 from 116.38.
My 7 day curation rewards slightly increased to 1.99 from 1.97 last week. I have been working to have less of my curation in the dust threshold range, I am hoping the small amounts I power up each week will assist with that.
Hive Account Growth
Pushing my weekly hive account growth is important as Hive is the basis for my voting value. Without a solid Hive balance, I would not have the ability to vote very much on the 2nd layer Hive Engine communities.
Hive Curation
Slowly but steadily, My Hive curation APR is increasing to 8.21% to 8.16% last week. This is the second week in a row that I have been in my target range. My target is to have my curation APR between 8 and 10%.
I am hoping to keep pushing it up little by little and get it to stabilize in that range. I believe if my Hive balance was larger there would be less dust and I should be able to have a curation rate between my target range.
Hive Engine Tokens
Since my focus these past weeks have been on my Hive balance and curation, I have not been paying to much attention to my Hive Engine Token holdings. However I do believe that the stronger I get my Hive balance, it will help support my Hive Engine holdings.
The tokens that I have chosen have several use cases that are important to me.
Here are my targets and progress for each of the specific tokens I have created a 2022 goal.
