in hot water.
大変な事になっている、面倒な事になっている、困ったことになっている
Ex. We're in hot water.
add fuel to the fire
火に油を注ぐ 事態、状況を悪化させる
Ex. Shouting at a crying child just adds fuel to the fire.
out of the blue
突然、いきなり、予期せずに
Ex. I really can't understand how something like this could simply pop up out of the blue.
draw a blank
全く出てこない、思い出せない、答えがわからない
Ex. He asked me for my phone number, and I drew a blank.
In the bag
（勝利、成功などが）確かで確実
Ex. The election is in the bag unless the voters find out about my past.
