Steemit has incredible potential, but currently there are still some flaws in the protocol. Here are my personal ideals regarding the future of the Steemit protocol:

  1. Authors are rewarded appropriately
It would be ideal if the content would be properly rewarded 99% of the time and that content will be consistently found by many active curators within the first hour. The only way to accomplish this is if the healers have incentives to do so.

  2. Healers earn money based on their behavior
Ideally, there is an autonomous system that rewards curators based on rewarding and branding content creators in a fair way. In my opinion, curators must earn money based on these criteria:

Activity (amount of voting power per day)
Integrity (how reasonable rewards are assigned and removed from content creators)

  1. More Reasons to Buy STEEM
At this time, the only application in the STEEM block chain is Steemit. When there are separate reasons to buy STEEM, the value of Steemit increases even more. Think about issuing custom tokens for free and being able to negotiate without charge for example.

  2. The STEEM price will rise for at least 10 years
If there are no harmful defects or attacks in the next 10 years, we can assume with relative certainty that the price will continue to increase. Hopefully it will happen. Inflation will take 20 years to reach a peak of 0.95%, so maybe the STEEM price will at least stay the same for most of our lives.

  3. Steemit remains "free of ads"
Hopefully the platform will not be overloaded with Coca Cola ads or porn or something. If there is total freedom, do not stop this type of content from getting too prominent (and annoying). Fortunately we have to be able to mark the content, hopefully enough.

  4. Steemit becomes the # 1 blogging platform
If there are no catastrophic flaws in blockchain technology and the Steem protocol, Steemit really has the potential to become the # 1 blogging platform and a safe haven for free speech. The possibilities are almost endless.

  5. Whales have little impact
Imagine when Steemit has hundreds of millions of users and every post has thousands or tens of thousands of votes in it, so no one has to rely more on whales. How great could it be?

  6. Everyone wants to use STEEMIT or STEEM
If most of the points mentioned above become true, it is very likely that almost all internet users in the world will benefit from having a Steemit account or possessing STEEM. It is a future that we will all benefit from all!
