Madigan rigs the game:

 -Illinois speaker of the House, Michael Madigan,  has long been the in legal practice of repealing tax assessments for businesses. His firm Madigan & Getzendanner collects hefty fees each time they successfully repeal the grossly over inflated assessments of commercial real estate  in the city of Chicago.

-Normally, this would just be fair legal practices that don’t warrant much concern or attention. However since Michael Madigan also happens to be the Speaker of The House in Illinois he happens to have a key role in legislating codes which put Illinois at the top of the list for highest real estate taxes in the nation.

-Madigan has long been a major cog in “The Machine” ever since he first got his foot in the door with Dailey Sr. He has an army of patronage hires whom boast comfy city jobs and will be faithful voters as long as they live. He is the poster child for Illinois corruption and there isn’t a Chicagoan alive who hasn’t suffered at the hand of his crooked legislation and unbalanced budget.

Enough is ENOUGH:

-From legislating tax codes that grossly over asses commercial real estate, and then subsequently cornering the market in reassessments, Madigan has made millions. He has revved the engine of machine politics to the point where some wonder if it might be time for a tune up. From 2015-2018 Chicago homeowners saw a 78% increase in property tax as well as a creation of the new water tax, without an decrease in the budgets deficit.

-It’s time to start weeding out crooked machine politicians and considering a new platform for representation in The Windy City.
