On first steps of your Hive career you have a choice: "write posts" or "write posts".
It seems that I'll guess what you choose :)
You need simply write something on your choice and it will be sended on Hive blockchain.
Hive is a big Universe where each service has same blockchain.
It means that you can register account on Hive.Blog and use it on Ecency or DBuzz. It also means that all your content do not assigned to some Hive-based service (Ecency, Dbuzz, PeadD, Hive.Blog, etc).
Of course you need to promote your post. We need a readers, a lot of readers :) And money, of course we want money! :)
Your reward depends on voting for your post.
The more people with weight (it will be considered below) will vote for your post the more reward you will receive!
The good way to choose community and place your post there.
Tips: Find community that cover your post topic and place it there!

Before post creating you can choose reward options:
- Default 50%/50% - you will receive reward on 50% in HP and on 50% in HBD.
- Power Up 100% - you will receive reward on 100% in HP.

Hive Power need to receive more attention, because this resource define your income by Hive ecosystem using.
With HP you will receive weight. Yeah, in Hive platform fat participants with big weight is a good! :) Then you need to eat a lot of HP! :)
With HP you can to create more posts, comments. It will increase your cool level :)
HP = Weight = Value = Importance
Vote
When you will receive some HP count you can start to vote. The more you have HP the more your voice is important.
You can calculate it with this calculator.
You have two kinds of percent indicators:
- Vote Mana (VM)
- Resource Credits (RC) - energy on comments, posts, etc.
For each vote on 100% your mana will be descreased on 2%.
Vote mana is recharging on 20% in a day. And you need not to reduce it on more then 80% level. Now I will explain you why!
Important: The less your vote mana level the less your vote weight!
It means then when your mana level will be low you will not receive reward on your voting. It will be simple like (like in Facebook, Twitter and so on).
Why do you have 100% vote graduation? It maked for high-HP users that want to support many content creators!
While you have low HP level you need to vote only on 100%.
With our calculation you can vote 10 times a day on 100%, 20 times on 50% and so on! :)
HP is an important resource and you can transform it in the Hive. But it will hold 13 weeks.
You can make such transforms:
HBD ---(in 3 days)--> Hive --- (in the moment) --> HP
HIVE -> HBD
HP -> HIVE
It means that you can transform your resources as you want!
Also you can delegate your HP to others people or communitires for passive income :)
