As a person, I haven't really considered marriage as something i want to get into and the funny thing is, it wasn't because I saw a marriage collapse that made me not want it. Dad wasn't good and didn't treat my mom exactly the way a queen should be treated which should be one of the reasons for me to get married and tell my dad how it is been done. I think it was 2010 when I heard about surrogates for the first time in my life, I didn't own a smartphone then but the day I was opportune to go to a cyber cafe, I took some time to read about it and ever since then, it sank perfectly into my brain, which actually change my thoughts about marriage because as a Yoruba boy that I am, they make It feel like a taboo if you don't have a wife at home or a lady who doesn't have a husband, they actually see them as irresponsible but I hope they start seeing things differently.
I won’t say there have been a lot of impressive marriages that one can imitate in the current world, even the one that feels good on the internet won't tell you what's going on behind the back door. Everyone just want to smile and look good in front of the camera, honestly I haven't seen any impressive marriage both old and new couples, and have seen married men cheat and I'm not talking about the ones we see on the internet but the once that happened straight to my face likewise have I seen married women cheat also. Have been in a relationship with a married woman before but I prevented anything sexual that could have happened despite that she wanted it. The funny thing is, it wasn't just one woman which makes me wonder why are they doing this and the same question goes for the man too.
I keep asking myself a lot of questions like, do they think those vows are a joke? Are they been forced into marriage? were they not ready? Was it peer pressure? But regardless of any excuse the cheating ones might give. To me, it is still bullshit because those vows were for better or worst and that is why divorce came into existence too.
I'm not looking forward to marriage but I know one day it definitely will happen and here is another reason, some ladies see marriage as an escape route out of one thing or the other which is absolutely wrong, this should be done out of pure love or what about the one that got married because she got pregnant? Well, I know you people will say what else is remaining but you all are ignoring the main question which is ARE THEY READY? Well for me I haven't seen a marriage I want to imitate or even just a bf and gf relationship but as they always say there is a man for a woman and vice versa so if I'm lucky to find my own woman, the flesh of my flesh and bone of my bone that definitely take her vows to heart and she is ready to paddle the canoe with me then I definitely going to consider it 100% but aside that maybe one day or probably just do surrogate if I have enough money so my name won't just vanish like that.
I hope you had fun reading this don't forget loving one another is what I promote always
