I've been working 8 days a week adding customers to my ISP, as our competition (Frontier) has really gone downhill this year while we just keep getting better.
So progress on the new site has slowed a bit! Even so, here's a review so far of how it's been going inside the equipment space.
We started out with a bare corner of an old aircraft hangar that was close to a fiber-optic line. I laid some gear out to see what we'd need as far as space goes.....
Then we cleared the spot, put in a new exterior door and got started.
More framing work, and some of the plywood sheeting is up.
And a shot from the inside, with a good view of the ceiling - gotta insulate to have a stable temperature! Temperature swings create humidity swings, which generate static electricity! Bad news for the gear...
All framed in! Got a hole cut up in the corner where the exhaust fan goes.
Electric panel is installed, lights are up and the fiber-optic cable has been threaded through into the room from the rear of the building. That's it, hanging down from the upper left corner.
And now it's time to paint! This is what I'm currently working on. Mmm, paint....good thing the ventilation fan is installed!
Next steps are to get the overhead cable trays and power conduit in, and the ducted AC unit set up. Then a billion other things before this is a fully functional Information-Technology space..
