As a season, I'm not a fan of Autumn. I love the cool crispness of Winter, the heat of Summer and I especially love Spring with all the new life that is appearing. Autumn is generally cold and damp and is my least favourite of all the Seasons.

However, I do like the colours, especially as the trees change colour and shed their leaves. The nice, but slightly boring Greens give way to rich warm shades of Reds, Oranges and Yellows, perfect as a backdrop for a photo shoot. So I chose an interesting location, contacted a fab local Model, and off we went...

...and almost immediately hit a snag. The leaves were still green in the location I first picked! Not a bad image, but not what I had in mind. I didn't realise that different species of trees change colour at different speeds. However the park was big enough so we went for a wander to see if we could find better trees (with better colours).

This is a bit better... but still not quite right.

I do like the pose by the water though, nice and relaxed.

After a bit more wandering and getting distracted by squirrels, we finally found the background I wanted, and then we found a white bridge in the middle of park which stood out against the colours in the backround...and I finally got the shot I had been looking for.
