Today I had a pretty ambitious plan for my morning walk. I started by heading down the riverbank path like usual, but at the Owen Rose Garden I started taking the sidewalks over to the fire station that counts as an airport in Pikmin Bloom. From there I walked down Chambers Street to the Fern Ridge Path, which I took all the way to the Meadowlark Prairie. I was feeling pretty tired by that point, so instead I tried to find a more direct route home. I took Roosevelt west and eventually ran into a bike path, which I realized must be the bike path I occasionally notice when I’m driving on the Beltline Highway but always forget to investigate further. So the good thing was discovering that, but the bad things is that it basically just ends when it hits Highway 99 which doesn’t have sidewalks, so I had to walk along the edge of a multi-lane highway for a bit before I could get back on regular streets and head home. I was tempted to just call that a day, but my opponent in the #macfit semifinals seems to generally put up some really big numbers, so in the late afternoon I took another walk to Maurie Jacobs Park and back.
