I woke up early this morning and decided to head out for my walk early. The “Adventure Week” event in Pokémon Go is winding down and I wanted to give myself a good chance to get a shiny from all of the potentially shiny rock-types that have increased spawn rates during the event. I walked to Alton Baker Park and then across the bike bridge (and took a photo of the Ferry Street Bridge from the middle).
Then I headed up the riverbank path past Skinner Butte Park. I noticed they had repainted the play structures in the park to a neutral color, I assume the whale will accumulate some more colorful art, although I don’t know if that’s a coordinated project or something that people just do on their own.
I continued up the path and got to the rose garden right around six, when it’s technically open.
Then I headed home along the riverbank path.
Even though I checked nearly every pokemon spawn that popped up today I didn’t get any encounters with shinies. I know they exist because I’ve seen other people’s in gyms, but it seems like I keep having bad luck during these events.
