💻 Estudiantes Crean Aplicaciones con IA en HIVEED 🚀 [ESP-ENG]
Hoy fue un día increíble. Se marcó un hito en el programa de HIVEED. Pasamos de las clases de marca personal y finanzas con tareas de publicaciones en Hive, a construir aplicaciones con IA; por supuesto en Hive.
Esto es algo que querías hacer hace años, pero al no ser desarrollador, lo vi muy difícil. Tuvimos una pequeña "alianza" con un proyecto de desarrollo en Hive, pero no resultó. Ahora con la IA, lo pude materializar.
Hace unas semanas me puse a crear con IA. Al principio fue bastante difícil, ya que la usé para que me guiara. No sabía que tenía la capacidad de hacer las cosas desde cero. Había escuchado de Claude, pero está bloqueada para Venezuela y me dio flojera saltar ese bloqueo. Así que me decidí por probar aistudio de Google y es increíble. Demoré haciendo la primera parte de la app asistido, semanas. Aistudio lo hizo en minutos.
En ese momento dije que tenía que enseñarlo a los chicos. Me quedaban cuatro semanas de clases, así que tenía que correr. Me arreglaron el horario del salón de informática y lo vamos a lograr. Es muy poco el tiempo, porque la capacidad del salón obliga a dividirlos y eso reduce el tiempo a la mitad, pero las ganas y lo que se pueda hacer remoto, nos darán los resultados.
Por supuesto que antes de hoy, que fue la primera clase; yo había terminado mi aplicación. En este momento la estamos probando para hacer el lanzamiento en los próximos días. Así que ya tengo la experiencia para guiar a los chicos.
Puedo decir que el proceso es sencillo, aunque lleva tiempo. Por cada promt la IA se demora minutos. Por ser la versión gratuita, hay límite de tokens. Esto hace que un proyecto robusto pueda demorar. Sin embargo crear una aplicación básica, minimalista, sin tantas herramientas, puedes hacerse en dos clases. Aunque la verdad hoy fue un poco atropellado por ser la primera clase. La próxima seguro será más fluida.
Los chicos están usando dos entornos de IA, Gemini y aistudio. La primera para el pensamiento rápido y búsquedas y la segunda para el trabajo pesado de construcción y código. También usan Peakd para buscar en Hive. Deben tener un nicho porque la dapp será de un tema específico, entonces se conectan a una comunidad o una etiqueta, dependiendo el caso.
Esto es un gran salto para "Hive va a la Escuela", porque muestra otra cara importante de Hive; la facilidad de conectarse a la blockchain, para sacar los mejores beneficios.
Además de esto, están aprendiendo sobre modelos de negocio que pueden aplicar a su emprendimiento digital. Ya están viendo, que en Hive no solo se gana por crear contenido, sino por crear aplicaciones.
Ahora espero que los tiempos nos den y que logren finalizar las dapps. Cualquiera sea el caso, tendrán un aprendizaje enorme estos días y en eso me incluyo también. Les estaré contando el desarrollo...

Today was an incredible day. A milestone was reached in the HIVEED program. We transitioned from personal branding and finance classes—with Hive posting assignments—to building applications with AI; on Hive, of course.
This is something I wanted to do years ago, but not being a developer, I saw it as very difficult. We had a small "partnership" with a development project on Hive, but it didn't work out. Now, with AI, I was able to make it happen.
A few weeks ago, I started creating with AI. At first, it was quite difficult because I was using it just for guidance. I didn't know it had the capability to build things from scratch. I had heard of Claude, but it's blocked in Venezuela and I was too lazy to bypass that restriction. So, I decided to try Google's AI Studio, and it is incredible. It took me weeks to do the first part of the app with assistance; AI Studio did it in minutes.
At that moment, I knew I had to teach this to the kids. I had four weeks of classes left, so I had to rush. They rearranged the computer lab schedule for me, and we are going to make it happen. Time is very tight because the lab's capacity forces us to split them into groups, cutting our time in half, but their enthusiasm and what we can accomplish remotely will give us results.
Of course, before today—which was the first class—I had already finished my own application. Right now, we are testing it for a launch in the coming days. So, I already have the experience to guide the kids.
I can say the process is straightforward, though it takes time. For each prompt, the AI takes a few minutes. Since it's the free version, there is a token limit. This means a robust project can take a while. However, creating a basic, minimalist application without too many tools can be done in two classes. To be honest, today was a bit chaotic since it was the first class. The next one will surely be much smoother.
The kids are using two AI environments: Gemini and AI Studio. The former for quick thinking and searches, and the latter for the heavy lifting of building and coding. They are also using PeakD to search on Hive. They must choose a niche because the DApp will be about a specific topic, so they connect to a community or a tag, depending on the case.
This is a huge leap forward for "Hive va a la Escuela" because it shows another important side of Hive: how easy it is to connect to the blockchain to reap the best benefits.
In addition to this, they are learning about business models that they can apply to their digital entrepreneurship. They are already seeing that on Hive, you don't just earn by creating content, but also by creating applications.
Now, I just hope time is on our side and that they manage to finalize their DApps. Whatever the case may be, they will gain an enormous amount of knowledge these days—and I include myself in that too. I will keep you posted on our progress...
