Today was a very special day for me because I was able to share the love of my daughter and have her with me to enjoy my passion, photography, together we had a lot of fun and shared a lot. This morning, the sun was shining with that golden light that invites you to go out. I decided to take advantage of the day to take a getaway with my daughter, away from screens and routines.
We went to the park, where we ran through the trees and shared strawberry ice cream, her favorite. We laughed as we watched the ducks splash in the pond, and she insisted on telling me made-up stories about each one. Afterwards, we strolled downtown, popping into that little bookstore we love so much. She chose an illustrated story and promised to read it to me before bedtime.
To close the day, we stopped at a coffee shop. While I enjoyed a coffee, she devoured a chocolate cake, leaving brown whiskers that I erased with a napkin while laughing.
We did nothing extraordinary, but those simple moments, full of complicity and joy, are the ones I treasure. We returned home with our hands full: she, of her book; me, of memories that will last forever.
