Introducing myself, my clarinet, and some old friends

Hi, my name's Danielle Murray. I'm planning to post here about music-making and various tech stuff, as well as sometimes entering competitions or posting videos. I'm also the owner of the Radio Liquorice account, and will be doing my first introductory post there soon. I heard about Hive and PeakD through @steevc, a long-time musical collaborator of mine. We have played quite a bit as a duo, @swing47 , me on clarinet and him on guitar, and are both members of a bigger band, Swing 42, which doesn't have a presence here (yet? who knows?). While he has his own separate trajectory as a singer-songwriter and Bowie interpreter, when we play together it's mostly pre-war jazz, either busking in nearby towns, at local events or for a group of lindyhop/swing dancers from the local area. Another Hivean (can you even say that?) who features on Radio Liquorice's first podcast episode of 2022 (soon to be posted here too) is @todayslight, so listen out for his original tunes there!

I recently also recorded some demos with my jazz teacher, Marco Marconi. I used Zoom H4n and H2n digital recorders stuck behind us in his music room and edited them on Audacity, so they're not properly mastered or anything. Maybe I'll graduate to a proper recording studio one day:
