CREATE NATURALLY - ENVIRONMENTS AND RITUALS - 3RD DIMENSION
The third and sometimes fourth dimension (your choice) of the eight dimension model of logical creative process is about environments and rituals for a creative lifestyle.
Title: Environments & Rituals - Inner and Outer Spaces For Rituals, Relaxation and Centering
Personal choice is really important in this next dimension. Environments are to be explored to find where creative energy and flow are the most dynamic for you.
Physical Environments – Inside and Outside
Productive spaces, whether inside or out, can be discovered and furnished to enhance your work and creative process. A laptop in front of a window works for me. A clipboard in Nature for longhand writing is also conducive to my creative flow. My recliner for meditation and writing I find quite comfortable as well.
Sunsets are wonderful for rejuvenating the creative spirit and can lead to an evening of creative talk, contemplation or expression. For me they are both a conducive environment and a refreshing ritual.
Feel free to create and find wonderful places to work and think creatively. You can always improve a place if desired by adding furnishings, tools, art, symbols and visual reminders. Music can be a great stimulus as well in your environments. Gardens and parks and cafes are all great places to create. Workshops and studios enable specialized styles of creative flow.
Business environments can include conference rooms and media centers for brainstorming and solution strategy meetings. Environments are important and can always be improved to aid your work.
Rituals warm up the creative juices for ease of flow. Rituals can be performed in the outer environment – perhaps some physical exercise, listening to inspiring music or polishing a tool. Perhaps some delicious coffee or other nutrition feeds the body and the creative spirit. Find ways to stimulate creative comfort and enthusiasm. Reading or listening to something humorous for amusement initiates a playful and creative mood. Laughter can bolster creative freedom and loosens one up. Laughter opens the mind and heart.
Relaxation exercises are excellent and can precede mental or spiritual rituals like prayer, meditation, contemplation and visualization. Inner rituals are really important and can have tremendous benefit. Learn to open up your being. Tune into your values and dreams. Discover and use your personal processes for stimulating flow.
Rejuvenation comes from relaxation.
When stress causes too many problems and wreaks havoc with peace of mind what are we to do? Remember to relax - learn to relax. Is it time for a change of scene? Is it time for a change? Stress will happen so be mindful and aware of its causes and effects and make choices to regain contentment and progress as soon as possible. Nurture creativity by reducing debilitating stress.
Can you turn stress into dynamic tension that is productive as it releases? Some stress is stimulating and can initiate creativity if the stress is not overwhelming and debilitating. With intention you can use tension to assist and empower yourself.
This sunset from a different angle definitely reduced my stress last night!
