@gabrielatravels: it's a pleasure too

@daniel-otaniel: tell us about yourself

@gabrielatravels: Well, my name is Gabriela and as my name says, I'm a traveler and that's what I love to do the most. I have many passions and by time I realised that there is nothing else that can bring me more happiness than traveling does. It's like finding and myself after a long journey.
To say more things about me, hmm..well I have a twin sister and she loves taking pictures while I love recording my trips so it's like a team and we complete each other.
My first passion was art - drawing, then graphic design, web design, and now taking pictures and videos. But none of my passions made me follow a college related to them so I decided something totally random - Finances and banks, just because it's a hard college and I love pushing my limits and learning new things in different domains. So I'm currently a student, this is my last year.

@daniel-otaniel: I like the sound of that, pushing ourselves to the limits. So where are you from?

@gabrielatravels: I'm from Romania. Slatina is my hometown and where I was born but it's been like 3 years since I moved to Bucharest (the capital of Romania) for my studies. My hometown is very little and there aren't as many opportunities as the capital can bring you.

@daniel-otaniel: okay, tell us about both places.

@gabrielatravels: As I said, my hometown Slatina is a little city and very decent. Nothing too extravagant but also a city full of good vibes and very genuine which will welcome you and make you feel like home in a few minutes.

Now talking about Bucharest, well it's completely a different world. A very crowded place with lots of people from all around the world but also many beautiful places you can visit anytime. Whenever you feel like escaping from all the traffic and crowded places, you can easily reach any park where you will rest your mind and recharge your batteries. Bucharest can bring you more opportunities in life but also living there is expensive if you don't have a good job or a good financial situation.
Anyway, whenever I feel like taking a break from all the agitation, I go back to my hometown where there is never too much traffic or people. smiley

After a 1866 coup d'etat, Prince Karl of Hohenzollern became the Prince Carol of Romania. The region declared its independence from the Ottoman Empire after the 1877-78 Russo-Turkish war.

In the 1878 Treaty of Berlin, Romania was finally officially recognized as an independent state by the Great Powers. In return, Romania ceded the district of Bessarabia to Russia "in exchange" for the access to the ports on the Black Sea shore, and acquired Dobruja........wikipedia

@daniel-otaniel: welcome back to the show, and still in the studio with us is the beautiful Grabriela. So Gabriela how long have you been on steemit?

@gabrielatravels: - I got into the steemit family 8 months ago, back in December 2017 and so far it's a quiet but beautiful journey. Not huge changes but also not big downs. Along my way I've met many cool people and when I say many - I mean it. Lots of people with common passions or just which saw something interested in my work and made them awake the inner curiosity about who I actually am. We are talking from time to time, sharing experiences and helping each other and it's really beautiful. In all this time I've discovered a new me, a me who loves writing about places that I'm visiting even though I believe I've never been so good at writing. A new me with a burning desire to learn more and more and improve my skills. A new me ready to meet new people and help them, just as I've been.

@daniel-otaniel: Where are the fun places to go in Slatina and Bucharest?

@gabrielatravels: When I think about Slatina this is more like a quiet place than having fun but of course you can always bring your friends on a pub, or watch the sunrise from the beach, the sunset from the bridge, or enjoy the graffiti walls on the way to the Wedding House where I noticed by time that many teens get on there and drink a few beers while saying stories or listening to music. From there you can also watch the city from above which can be very peaceful. Oh and there is a skatepark too, so that might be considered as a fun place.
In Bucharest there are lots of fun places depending on what your passions are. You could go to karaoke, stand up comedy or different parties at night or you could opt in for Escape Room, the climbing walls where you actually train to climb real mountains but that is a fun thing to do as well, you could also go to Aventura park or just rent a boat or a bike while exploring the city. It all depends on what your passions are and what you love to do the most.

@daniel-otaniel: all beautiful sites. Are there any cultural festivals or celebrations particular to Slatina and Bucharest?

@gabrielatravels: There is the celebration "Zilele orașului Slatina" a festival of how much it is since the city appeared and another festival which is also a contest called "Oltenii și restul lumii", related to talents, both of them in slatina.
But when I think about cultural festivals or celebrations particular to these cities it hardly comes up something in my mind as I really have no idea. There are lots of festivals and celebrations but not originally from here.

@daniel-otaniel: Well a festival is a festival. What meal do you enjoy most?

@gabrielatravels: Oh that's a funny question as I usually don't eat that much, haha. I'm actually very picky when it comes to food but I think about pizza. Who doesn't love pizza? Oh, and quattro stagioni is my favourite, no doubt! smiley

@gabrielatravels: It all depends on my mood. Music was my very first friend and one that will always stay so I can easily switch from rock to chillstep, from dubstep to pop and from deep soul to symphony and many more.
When I need a moment of peace - symphony
When I feel lost - rock
When I'm depressed - deep soul
When I don't want to hear my thoughts anymore - dubstep (drop the bass!)
But mostly, chillstep which is always by my side and controls my feelings. I'm a very quiet and peaceful person so I think this genre of music suits me the best. :peace:

@daniel-otaniel: That was a wonderful song by Jacob Lee. What was your funniest childhood experience?

@gabrielatravels:Oh, that was in school when me and my sister were getting ready for test papers. We had a lot of lessons to learn and everyone was going crazy how they could asimilate so much information but me and my sister were always splitting the lessons in two equal parts and we were learning half each one of us and help each other during the test paper. Everyone was so jelly like "how are them doing this? Are they Albert Einstein or something?"
That always worked and no one had any idea lol joy

@daniel-otaniel: that was cool....wishI had a twin as well. Where and where have you travelled to?

@gabrielatravels: I've never been abroad so currently I'm traveling only in my country, Romania. Actually no one has any idea how many beautiful locations are waiting to be discovered and visited and that's why I also love to explore every little corner of my country and promote it on my blog. It's like helping others discover the world through my eyes and I love that. I've been from South to North and from East to West and I still haven't seen everything, but I will, in the following years.

@daniel-otaniel: you most welcome. Any projects or plans you have on the near future for steemit?

@gabrielatravels: Hmm, it's not a project but as for now I have the series "Let's travel together", I'm planning to soon release another series which will help my readers feel like traveling with me even more, not just pictures and stories. But that's something that will be announced later this month. blush

@daniel-otaniel: Wonderful plans you have there with the series.

@gabrielatravels: Yep, I really hope it will be a successful series and catch the attention of many people. Thank you blush

@daniel-otaniel: it sure will. Asides a post on travelling, what other tags do you appreciate or use on steemit

@gabrielatravels: Before I started the traveling series I was also writing motivational speeches inspired from my life or about gaming (yet another passion of mine). So from time to time I like to also get back on these tags and read about such subjects but also about education or science.

@daniel-otaniel: That's great, one final question. What will you change on steemit, if given the chance.

@grabrielatravels: - That's an easy question as I know what it must be changed or actually to be more careful and a better team maybe. I'm talking about plagiarism which is a lot and sometimes there are many people who escape just like that but also get a hit with a Curie vote which is a pain in the ass to see someone's work posted by a low level guy who knows nothing about what real effort and dedication means but just copy paste someone's work and doesn't get caught. It is not fair at all. So I will try to make a better team with more research before such actions. Also I would love to be a team of people which are very popular on steemit who would take a moment every month and promote qualitative people as it's pretty hard to get exposure when you are at the beginning or just don't have too much success by your own, sometimes you really need help.

@daniel-otaniel: Great mind you've got...the last part is something I want to change too....steemians with quality post, don't get enough exposure.

@gabrielatravels: Yep, it's really hard at the beginning but then there won't be such a long beautiful journey. A little bump from time to time won't hurt though blush
