I hope you know, God does not owe you any explanation. And I will also advise you, don't be very fond of God why? Good times are good, bad times are bad; God remains God. When it is tough, the tougher prevails, when it is tougher, the toughest prevails—dan-EL. So the quick take home here is, every time you are in God's presence, grow. I mean it, if you really want to survive the journey ahead. The prayer time, the bible study time, the fasting time and whatever consecration you can add to that should have the purpose of continuous growth.
Maybe we should start off from something we are much familiar with. Do you observe how the courses get tougher as you are advancing in class? Your first year might just have been that welcoming course; introduction to this and that. I hope you know that doesn't mean you shouldn't start exploring more ahead of what is coming. Every class is building you up to survive the next.
This is also a familiar arrangement in your faith journey. You gave your life to Christ, congratulations but please don't stop here. You must start understanding and walking through your daily requirements. Maybe you used to keep a fifteen minute prayer and you heard His voice telling you to step up. And if you don't know what is going on and ignore them then you will become a victim on the day of an adversity.
Christianity is practical, you will face real life situations. God will tell you to forgive someone you had earlier crossed your heart to never think twice about forgiving. You may have to endure rejection for a certain period of time. Your finances may be crumbling right in your very first and all this is just to see how strong you can hold on to Jesus in the day of adversity.
Proverbs 24:10 NLT
If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small.
So the limitation is not attached to the day of your adversity but rather to your faith. It means you never made the most of your past (training time): Oh Lord please help me!.
I Corinthians 10:12-13 NKJV
Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. [13] No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
I can say, this is me also talking to myself through this article. Firstly, God will never tempt me. Secondly, He will never allow the tempter to tempt me beyond what I can bear. What manner of love is this!!!
It means whatever may come my way as temptation had been carefully screened by My Father for assurance that I can overcome it and if I fail to, then it was my strength (supplied strength) that I did not use well.
To conclude, let me add, could this be you too trying to face situations of life. Life is full of ups and downs and it is always our prayer that God sees us through. Know this one thing; GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU. He is closer than you can imagine. Is the situation tough? Get tougher. Has the situation moved to the tougher stage, become the toughest; always make sure you are very ahead of whatever life has to throw at you. You are not disadvantaged, you are fighting from the standpoint of victory. THANK YOU JESUS.
