I was expecting it, the moment I saw that flex on the church advert wall last week. It is about a mid-year prayer submit. It was an impactful one during the beginning of the year and I can attest I was a beneficiary.
We had a guest speaker we were hosting in a nearest hotel the last time we had this submit and when I saw his picture yet again as the guest speaker, I knew it was going to be that attention needed one and I can't ignore the fact that my attention will be needed to make the environment professional for our guest speaker.
It can be a privilege I must say, getting close to ministers who are willing to work with you. It was my first time having to take care of a guest speaker and well, this time around, our minister had the confidence that I had learned a lot from the last event.
Yesterday, I went with the vehicle and one other member with me to pick him up for his evening ministration. The weather wasn't that favorable to start with. It was a down pour that kept the environment on slow motion. The guest speaker came in exhausted and we have to find something to refresh him ahead of service.
That was a later success although with in-between delays. The rain was still making movement inconvenient and I thank God the service yesterday was a success.
So that was me planning on how to go about my day today and my phone rang. So what's up? Duty calls again, someone will need to attend to our guest speaker in his hotel room to keep him welcomed. Ok, we were to bring his breakfast outside the hotel’s provision and this was where I needed to be up and running.
About the rain? It was still another downpour after I heard it had been raining straight five hours over the night. On reaching the designated eatery, they were yet to open. I put a call through and I got that reply that they are still running around in the market for stuff.
The rain had been a heavy one so I can't really blame them. So many places were flooded and I saw the impact in my very eyes. Some restaurants opened late while others who stayed around waterlogged areas faced a lot of item damages.
Ok, after heading to several places to get the right breakfast I finally had to make some substitutions as we were already behind time. I finally went down to the hotel and well, I had to tender some apologies because I (and we as the host) were late to supply breakfast.
To conclude, today will be the last day of his ministration and I pray God’s will fully manifests.
