This was the call I made that triggered the writing. We have to deliver a service in an hour time. I had to push today early enough and while still improving upon my added skills, the current challenge is time wasting. Nevertheless, I have to exercise patience and continue these improvements.
Ok, I just had a squeeze in meeting time and although I tried to escape it, I couldn't. One of those who look up to me as a mentor decided to show up and you can't afford to be backwards in word after not meeting him for a while. I came and met his missed calls and called back and he wanted to show up in my office.
Already exhausted I was and I was thinking if he could pass the information and whatever he wanted to show me to someone else to later bring it. His reply was a no; ‘I won't take much of your time as I am already in the neighborhood’. What can I say; ‘ok, I will be waiting’.
It was nice meeting him after a while and he came and saw improvement in our office, new machines have come in to boost the brand. Discussion broke out concerning business and what I am up to with my current gospel content creation pages.
I had to in few words make an effective summary. His later contributions was welcoming; the idea of training myself to get used to the camera as my audience will soon be demanding such. This is something I am preparing myself for.
So what did I in turn offer him; of course he came with expectation. First I had to touch on his area of business and why he needs to become more of an investor than a worker. Start thinking of buying shares of people’s company no matter how small the ROI may be from inception’. What I aim to teach him here is discipline and patience compounding.
Secondly I added, don't be an over expectant worker: you can't expect your boss to share his profit with you as it pleases you. Didn't he put in enough time to build his brand? So what should you do, invest and get both salary and dividends. I had to cite such an example to him.
Thirdly, I had to redirect every talk back to faith. Please do not let your entire life end in earthly riches and achievement. Invest your time in God and you never can tell the blessings awaiting you from this direction already. Physical wealth will exhaust in time (or maybe I should properly put, you will fade and live it all behind
In conclusion, I had to connect the scriptures to back it up and in the end, I was able to input the word of life into his spirit. I will do well to be following him up on this and well, it seems the long time no see has ended up in evangelism.
