I happened to meet with someone on a Saturday evening that I am getting closer to. From being a customer to liking my zeal and hunger for the things of God. Don't take people for granted when they start sharing their life issues with you. The more I know her, the more she is explaining and wanting me to interact/share ideas.
For instance, she once had a supermarket and a poultry farm and I knew not of until that Saturday evening when we were discussing. To cut the entire story short, it all went bankrupt. There are several things but here we can talk of bad managers or we can say ‘damagers’.
Both the supermarket and poultry business shut down. Just imagine how far it would have been by now in both profit and reliability when counting the number of years she just told me of.
At this point, one can also say she wasn't professional enough to enforce the needed tactics that would have strengthened business (well, it can be better said than understood). Nevertheless, damagers just enjoy the damage; I mean, even in our absence, why think of bankrupting your boss?
Coming back to our daily lives, there is a need to be very skeptical of friends. When going through the scriptures, I haven't even seen much of the story of Jesus and friends as he was growing up. I can also remember where it is documented in the scriptures; He didn't give himself unto men because he knew their hearts’.
So when he wanted to enter full time ministry, he had to carefully handpick disciples. Even with that, we can also look at how Judas ended up a betrayer.

Business, ministry, neighbors, government, husband, wife, brother, parents, caregiver, what and whoever you can keep counting. Haven't we seen two neighboring countries at constant war to even start with. Instead of working together to manage available resources, it has been the reverse to damage and continue damaging.
To conclude let me add, we need to show much carefulness in selecting our intimate circle. It may not be easy but all discernment is very vital, a lot is at stake here.
