Matthew 11:4-5 NIV
Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: [5]The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.
The easiest way to preach the gospel is evidence. At times one just needs to sit back and understand what makes heathens see us mostly as jokers. How far do you think the ministry of Our Lord Jesus Christ would have gone if He we not able to replicate His Father?;
John 5:19 NIV
Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
As Jesus Christ disciple, how can you go out to tell someone about Jesus that used to heal the sick and you are saying that you are commanding his same authority yet to even take out a headache is impossible.
Let's start from there, why should they believe you? Jesus Christ said; believe me and even if you don't want to, believe the works I am doing. Let's me properly quote it;
John 10:37-38 NIV
Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. [38]But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”
Is your ministry convincing enough aside from people just being stiff-necked or showing hatred for Christ?. I can remember in several scriptures how the crowd were confessing the good works Jesus was doing and that this wouldn't have been possible if God was not with him. What did Nicodemus say as concerning Jesus;
John 3:1-2 NIV
Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. [2]He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
How self explanatory this can be. So where are we heading here?. Your Christianity will have to show. This is not a ministry of talk! Talk!! And talk!!! Jesus didn't have much to reply to John's disciples when John the Baptist sent them on a confirmation code errand. The conclusion was simply; go and tell John as recorded in Matthew 11:2-5.
To conclude, let me add, refuse to be a noise maker. To tell stories with your ministry, you were called to live out the scriptures and even do greater works in the process.
