When we see people who have made it to the top stages of life we are always whoooowed; ‘I want to be like him’. Many in the process move from inspiration to desperation.

We are living in a world of hurry! Hurry!! Hurry!!!. It is all about now or never. Surprisingly the hurry mode keeps intensifying; proper time is not allocated to every needed action, visions or project. #We all want to make it now; or maybe I should say, most want to make it now. It shows how visionless one can be or on the other hand, how one can misinterpret what a vision is.

So what's a vision to start with? Maybe we should start from mother hen (yes, I mean the usual hen we all know). So what was her vision? To raise the next generation, and where did she start?

Ok, mating period had to be considered, egg laying period followed suit and the next phase was incubation. It might have taken two weeks to complete the egg laying and now she will sit on it for an extra 21 days.

The target is to meet up with the right temperature (note, not to heat up the eggs). Of course we all know how fragile eggs are when exposed to excessive heat. We all know the rest of the story from here; chicks finally emerged and a new generation was let loose.

Have we learned something already? Maybe we can also look at the needed patience in-between. But what I want to concentrate on is when this vision actually made sense; ‘the latter end’. The entire procedure made waves when the next generation fully emerged.

I was listening to one message from Bishop David Oyedepo and he made a captivating statement: ‘Vision doesn't speak in the beginning, visions speak in the end’.

It is a matter of how willing we are ready to digest this revelation. It will really help in every given project or vision we are embarking on. If it speaks now, it wasn't a vision or it has been completely thwarted.

The idea of touching this and that, running here and there, abandoning one project for another just because it did not work. It just doesn't make much sense.

So the next question might be, did it actually not work or you didn't give it enough time to produce the needed results?

Job 8:7 NIV [7] Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be. >Job 8:7 KJV [7] Though thy beginning was small, Yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

Visions have stages and you can't ignore the starting time. This is something that we should not ignore. Visions mostly become obsolete not actually because it was bad but because enough needed time was not allocated to it. Who builds a million or billion dollar company in one year.

You will have to set up structures, find your time, find your partners who are willing to give into it, find your customer base and most importantly, start small.

The scriptures above also give us a needed hint that if your beginning is big, your latter end shall greatly reduce. We have seen how big projects have become piles of rubble because they wanted to grow faster than expected. It is more like saying, no matter how late you are to work, it will be very dangerous to drive at the highest speed; ‘you are likely never going to get there alive’.

To conclude, let me add, this calls for the need to structure our mindset into the right direction. Like I will always say, what is not working is working and well a huge percentage of why it is not working is that visions have been wrongly misinterpreted.

Do you have any experience to add to this. What are your visions or projects you are currently working on? Are you feeling tired already and planning to give up? So ask yourself, what is a vision? At least mother hen has provided an analysis. Let's share some experiences that can keep us encouraged.

Or maybe you are just scanning through the entire article, please keep this as your so therefore: ‘if it is a vision, it must speak in the latter end, anything short of this is nothing but a pending disaster’.
