What you want to hear, what you need to hear, I hope you know these two don't translate the same. We can say, we mostly prioritize the former more than the latter. Maybe I should start off from some live experiences that we can connect from. What has been the cause of a lot of life’s frustrations?. Basically, it is from what we want to hear.
Do you know you can become a millionaire in one week? Have you been a victim of such headlines before? Or maybe we such come into the cryptoverse of hot tokens or coins that just hit the market and you TRY to gather as much as possible because you heard it was going to pump soon.
In the end, it all ended up as bad investments and while you might want to blame those you assumed scammed you, you were merely a victim of itchy ears. You grabbed a bad opportunity because you’ve been conceiving the idea of getting rich quick right from your very bed.
Let's come back to the faith world, why are many Christians very frustrated about Christianity? They picked what they wanted to hear and have been running on that. ‘God maketh rich’, ‘God opens doors’, 'God gives children, husband and wife’ and the story continues. The most centered one of all this is that God makes people rich. So here, making rich is more like calling God a money doubler.
The idea is that if we can stay with God, boom! Money will start flowing in. It's a pity it has been a message virally circulating and while blames can also be put on those who preach this ear tickling messages, on the other end, your ears were itching for such.
That's all you’ve been waiting for right from day one. The reason you gave a huge amount of money as tithe, seed or whatever was out of compelling that whoever does so, in the next 30 days will get a call from the government house.
Did it end up well? So now everything about God seems to be fake but you’ve forgotten that one way or the other, even your expression of love or giving is fake.

For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Does God maketh rich? Of course but you need to understand this, God is not a gambler or a money doubler. Christian must learn how to first build relationships before placing demands. In short, God knows what you need more than you even do. Favor is real, I believe in it because our fathers of old from the scriptures have enjoyed this and it is still happening till date.
Nevertheless, when you check out the lives of these men, they paid a price. If it is God you are after, be very willing to do His will.
I can also tell you that other things (gods) also make men rich with sorrowful endings. I am stirring your faith up to understand that God is not in any way responsible for your misfortune. If you feel Christianity has disappointed you, please first access yourself; am I playing my part well?
To conclude, let me add, maybe if you did play your part well, you would have understood that God has perfect timings for you. He doesn't do get rich quick business which of course would have saved you from all the fake and enticing prophesy. Without alignment and discernment, you are already a victim of whatever is thrown your way.
