This article has been in my archives for a while (well, just as a topic). So let me be looking at how to add shape to it and send it out. It has been one of those Sundays that I was locked into the office to meet up with some jobs.

So where are we heading in this article? I was looking at the scenario that surrounded the fall of Jerusalem (the take over by King Nebuchadnezzar). His imperial guard broke down the walls, carried the treasury of the king and his nobles to Babylon, burnt down every prominent house there and even turned his attention to the temple of God.
This is where we will be looking at, what actually happened? I am not talking about what and what happened; maybe I should touch a little on that. He set the temple of God on fire, took the articles from the temple and the treasury from God's temple to Babylon. The entire wall decorations with expensive stones were brought down.
Maybe you did not get it, I mean that temple of the Lord: the same temple that priest had to be well consecrated in other to step into the Holy of holies or they will pay for it with their very lives. How come carnal soldiers marched in there to demolish and take away sacred things?

A time came when that temple lost potency. It was more of a physical building but God's presence had left it. Anyone was able to access the holy of holies including foreign invaders.
Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.
God does not plead for human worship. If He is not welcomed, he walks away and at whose loss? Maybe I should also put it up that God is all sovereign. How were they even able to invade Jerusalem to start with. Backdating to the reign of King David where every other country treated Israel with respect.
Israel used to go to war at other people's places and captured it because God's presence went with and even ahead of them. But when they turned their back on God, they became victims and went into captivity. There is a lot to learn here, this is our time; how are we dealing with our potency?.
