Great men live a life of consecration. And I mean whether in the Christian faith or the vice. There are things they do and things they do not do, places they go and places they choose to stay away from, they have their kind of conversation and anything outside that is meaningless and unabsorbable to them.
Maybe I should pause here and ask; are you in any way living a consecrated life? Does it even matter? Maybe I should start from here; ‘PLEASE DON'T BE CARELESS ABOUT SPIRITUAL THINGS’. Try and add this to any additional knowledge you are going to gain from this article.
That statement of I don't believe in this and that, I don't believe in the existence of Angels and demons, in the existence of Heaven as God's dwelling place and even His existence as the sovereign one. Maybe this is you robbing yourself. The things visible were first pronounced from the invincible realm.

Ok, let's head back to the matters of the cross. One thing I want you to first note is that crosses are unique. You have yours, I have mine.
Luke 9:23 (KJV) And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
I really appreciate this translation in KJV, the English in NIV is cumbersome to relate with the main issue. You don't carry anyone's cross, you carry your cross and well, your cross might include bearing the burdens of others but as I said, it is your cross.
Another thing I want to understand here is this; God deals with people uniquely so you can't just form a universal doctrine out of your dealings. Have you been stripped of hobbies before? It is even easier to get out the points from here. When you become carnally obsessed for something, The Holy Spirit will help you in addressing that issue to avoid it becoming a god over your life.
For instance, The Holy Spirit told you that you should not be eating from 6:PM till 6:AM in the morning daily. Ok, this does not mean that anyone that eats by this time is sinning. There is something He wants to achieve from your own life through those instructions. We are talking of your cross here.
In short, to another person, The Holy Spirit might tell him not to eat anything from 6:AM to 12:PM daily (note, I am just citing some examples here). The purpose for this will be to individually train every man to meet up with his calling. Maybe He wants to make one more vigilant in the morning time while the other at night depending on what forces are trying to dominate that area.
Being a believer is being very sensitive about spiritual things. You will have to admit that you’ve been recruited for a purpose; to be a channel of liberation to wherever you find yourself. The matter of pick up your cross and DAILY is very mandatory.
To conclude, let me add, never think that God is operating harshly on you, He knows your capacity and He wants you to both realize and live out your full potential. The prayer you should be praying right now is: Oh Lord, please help me to take up my cross daily and follow you in Jesus name, Amen.
