Should I call it unexpected A.O.B. There are times when someone is either needed to forefront or backup. That was the situation yesterday, it was a matter arising. Ignore it and the next day, the likeliest questions can be? What did you do about it that yesterday?
I had talked about the entire meeting to meeting that I was involved in that yesterday. In short, there wasn't much energy left in me again to meet with the last meeting. After taking my meal, my idea was to sleep for at least two hours to regain some strength.
Let me call Dad and confirm something. And that was how I got engaged. Where are you? Please come and meet me. I was still eating by the way and even when I reached there my Dad was expecting me to be much earlier than that. What can I say, father to son conversation; just be quiet. You can wish he knew how your entire day was and what is still left.
After a lot of discussion on how to handle a current issue, it ended in a need to step out to the nearby police station. There is always a need to report any suspicious activities to the needed authorities so as to keep yourself from any pending penalty. That saying, ‘ignorance of the law is not an excuse’. It was a trespassing activity within our yard.
It's night time already and I can't allow my Dad to go out alone. Again, what do I have to say in case something goes wrong in the entire process? His entire idea was needful, he is more experienced in the matter of the law. Anything can happen overnight without taking the right steps,
The weather is folding to unfold and on our way the downpour has already started. On reaching the nearby station, there were processes to follow. Personally, I was bored of the process and well, I couldn't sit inside the car. At some point I had to step down to show the needed concerns and the rain was adding to my temperature.
I was a little surprised how interrogating police officers can be, so they asked me, what happened, who are you in the entire matter. Well, they were able to find out that I am my father's son.
Back in the car I went and a few minutes later someone else showed up. What happened, this and that. My reply was very precise: ‘sir, my Dad is giving a statement inside’. I didn't want to get involved so much, we came to give an official report and my Dad was doing that already.
Finally, everything was completed and we had to drive home. This time the tempo of the rain had increased. I was catching the cold already and when I reached the house I was already a few minutes to scheduled time. I couldn't help out here anymore. Let me take a break and see how tomorrow will play out. What was the lesson learnt in all these, be very alert, make the necessary moves when due, even the innocent can become a victim if ignorance is prioritised.
