We need each other but it has seemed as if we are now becoming the disadvantage to ourselves. Competition, envy, hatred, malice, jealousy and so on. What do you gain in your neighbor’s difficult situation and I will be addressing this one mostly to the people of the household of faith; please watch your life
Friends you can count on : this is the kind of friendship you need because anything short of this is you running a dangerous relationship. Who is a friend? Maybe I should start with understanding that it doesn't necessarily mean they will be able to cater for all your urgent needs.
Friends to count on are those who are there for you and are void of murmurings. Take this from me, it is not everyone you should call for help irrespective of if they can help you or not. This is not pride, it is you saving yourself from some future damages.
They are people who are just very good at mocking. Don't let anyone take advantage of your current situation to mock your God. This is one of those things I take note of. Does this person see life from a Godly lens? If they answer is no or uncertain, approach with caution.
It is a deterring incident to seek help from someone who did not even help but went ahead to spread the news. They claim to be Christian and that their God is a sufficient supplier, yet he came to me for some financial assistance. This is how some people can taunt your God behind your back if you are not sensitive enough to restrain from them.
Or maybe he helped you but went about to tell everyone that it was him who rescued you from a one time crisis you were into. This is why I am saying, be careful, don't give anyone an opportunity to use your situation to taunt God.
If you have good friends from the household of faith, keep them very dear to yourself. As I earlier said, it is not all the time that they will be able to attend to your needs but their ability to understand you and never share your downtime situations with others is something to really appreciate.
“Hello brother, hello sister, were you able to resolve that current situation? I will be praying for you”. How many of such people do you have around you? Are you one to even start with? May God create for us strategic relationships and good friendship circles we can grow from.
