Sitting with my Bible this afternoon has been a privilege. I didn't even plan it and all of a sudden, I had to fix time to sit down for a study. If you have time, please sit down and study the bible, you will end up very exceptional. This is not a competition, this is the truth.
Matthew 5:14-15 NIV
“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.[15]Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
Adding to this, this generation is very distracted; it means anyone who can put himself together will be very exceptional. I am just praying that God continues to show me mercy and grace to allocate more time to study His word.
That said, let's push into the area of faith and how it duly applies. What is faith?
Hebrews 11:1 NIV Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
It is faith that triggers miraculous signs and wonders. And well, one can say, if you have faith, you have it. Is there also a need to gauge how much of it you have? What I just learned from my study this afternoon is that there is a faith that can do nothing.
Matthew 17:14-20 NIV
When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. [15]“Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. [16]I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” [17]“You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” [18]Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment. [19]Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” [20]He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
So there is a big difference between little faith and small faith, the earlier can do nothing while the former can even uproot a mountain. So how does this apply to us? Why are we not able to command the supernatural? Are we still hovering around with little faith? Adding to that, is there a need to shift grounds?
To conclude, let me add, I leave it for you to decide. Nevertheless, just have that backup knowledge that your faith is gauged. Until it reaches the needed scaling it can do nothing. There is a need to step up.
